The Nagy Manor was built in the year 1802, completely refurbished and arranged for its new destination, with the comfort of today’s expectations. This manor hosted Jókai Mór in 1884 on the occasion of his electioneering in Háromszék County, and later Mikszáth Kálmán in 1887.
During the War of Independence in 1848/49, the mistress of this manor house was Szotyori Nagy Tamásné, born vajna Terézia, who, without being afraid of the enemy, went out into the battle line to seek for her Honvéd son. She gave shelter to the persecuted heroes, and then, after the fall of the War of Independence, she sent packets to prisoners.
Many members of the Nagy family in Szotyor (Coșeni) have also received nobleness from several rulers.
